Translate meetings as they happen, and keep the record
In a meeting held in a language you half-follow, the cost is not the words you miss — it is the half-second you spend translating instead of listening. Xuula puts the translation beside the transcript so you can do one or the other on purpose.
8,000 words free every week. No credit card.
How does meeting translation work?
Xuula captures your microphone and the Windows system audio, transcribes the conversation with speakers separated, and runs a translation into a language you choose beside the original. Both can be shown in always-on-top caption windows over any meeting application, and both are saved with the conversation when you stop.
Captions that float over the meeting you are in
Original and Translation are separate always-on-top windows. Move them, restyle them, close and reopen them from the mini panel without stopping the recording — over Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams or whatever the other side is using, because they sit above the screen rather than inside an app.
The translated transcript is kept, not discarded
When the meeting is saved, the original transcript and the translation are stored together with the recording, notes, speaker names and word timestamps. Coming back to a bilingual meeting a month later does not mean translating it again from the audio.
For teams that meet across languages
A multilingual meeting usually has one working language and several people paying an attention tax to use it. A live translated transcript lowers that tax without asking anyone to switch language, and the notes afterwards are readable by everyone who was in the room.
No bot, no platform admin, no meeting-platform plan
Nothing joins the call, so there is no participant to admit and no workspace administrator to ask. That also means no meeting-platform features are used: Xuula sees the audio, not the chat, the attendee list or the calendar entry.
Where the honest limits are
Translation quality varies by language pair and by how clearly people speak over each other. The original is always kept beside the translation for exactly that reason. Consent to record still applies, and audio Windows will not expose — DRM-protected paths, some exclusive-mode setups — cannot be captured at all.
Meeting translation questions
It works alongside them. Xuula captures the audio your PC plays and shows translated captions above whatever is on screen, so the meeting application does not matter and nothing has to be enabled inside it.
Yes. Stopping a meeting saves the original transcript and the translation together, on your PC, along with the recording, your notes, speaker names and word timestamps.
Not unless you share your screen. The caption windows are on your own desktop — this is translation for you and anyone watching your screen, not a translated feed pushed to other participants.
The transcript follows what is actually said, and translation runs into one target language you choose. Meetings with several source languages depend on how well the speech provider handles that mix — worth testing on a real call before you depend on it.
Only the recognised speech is counted, once, when it is recognised. Asking for a translation or a summary of words already counted does not count them a second time.
