Transcribe Microsoft Teams meetings from your own PC
In Teams, transcription and intelligent recap are governed by your tenant’s policies and licences. Xuula runs beside Teams on your own machine, which is a much shorter conversation with IT.

How do you transcribe a Teams meeting with Xuula?
Start a Xuula meeting recording during the Teams call. It captures your microphone and the Windows system audio and produces a speaker-separated transcript, with optional live translation. No bot joins the meeting, no Teams app is installed into the tenant, and the recording and transcript are saved on your PC.
No tenant app, no licence question
A Teams application has to be approved for the tenant, and the built-in transcription and recap features depend on licences your organisation may not have bought. A desktop application that records local audio raises neither question.
The translated transcript stays
Live translated captions are, in most meeting tools, something you read once and lose. Xuula saves the translation alongside the original transcript in the conversation, so a bilingual Teams call is still readable in both languages afterwards.
Guest and external meetings included
Calls hosted by a customer, a supplier or an agency run under their tenant’s rules, not yours. Because Xuula captures your own audio output, an external meeting is transcribed on exactly the same terms as an internal one.
Windows-native, next to the app you already run
Teams on Windows and Xuula on Windows are two desktop applications sharing one audio device. There is no cloud connector between them, nothing to authorise, and no data path from your Microsoft 365 account into Xuula.
What it cannot reach
Xuula does not see Teams chat, channel posts, files, the attendee list or the calendar, and cannot post a recap back into Teams. Your organisation’s recording policy still applies, and so does everyone’s right to know they are being recorded.
Microsoft Teams transcription questions
It is not a Teams application, so there is nothing to approve in the tenant. It is a Windows desktop program, which your organisation’s ordinary software policy governs in the usual way.
No. Transcription, translation and meeting insights come from Xuula on your own PC and your own Xuula plan, independent of what your Microsoft 365 subscription includes.
Yes. Because capture is local, an externally hosted meeting is recorded the same way as an internal one — subject to whatever consent and policy rules apply to you.
No. There is no connection to your Microsoft 365 account in either direction. Summaries and to-dos are generated in Xuula, and you copy across whatever you want to share.
No. The recording, transcript, translation, notes and generated insights are saved into a Project on your own computer, not into a Xuula cloud library and not into your tenant’s storage.
