After installing

    Allow microphone access

    Windows asks once. Xuula opens the microphone only while a dictation or a meeting recording you started is active — never just because Settings is open.

    Pick a microphone and a hotkey

    Settings opens on the first launch. Choose your input device, keep F8 or set your own key, and pick hold-to-talk or press-once-to-start.

    Try it safely first

    A test-dictation panel inside Settings lets you check the microphone and recognition without typing into any other application.

Upgrading keeps your settings, dictation history, and existing meeting recordings, transcripts and notes. Existing meeting folders are discovered and imported into the conversation library automatically.

If Windows shows a SmartScreen warning

New signed applications can trigger SmartScreen until they build reputation. Check the publisher name matches the one listed above before choosing “Run anyway”. If it does not match, do not run the file — tell us instead.

What leaves your PC

Audio is streamed to a speech recognition service while a dictation or meeting recording is active, and transcript text is sent for AI cleanup or meeting insights only when those features are on. Dictation history, meeting recordings and Projects stay on your PC in this release.
