Transcribe online meetings into searchable text
Meeting transcription usually arrives as a stranger in the participant list. Xuula records the audio your own PC plays and hears, so the transcript exists without anyone else being told a note-taker is present.

How does Xuula transcribe a meeting?
Xuula records your microphone and the Windows system audio — the other side of the call — into one synchronised recording, and builds a live transcript with speakers separated and labelled. Nothing joins the meeting as a participant, so it works with any application that plays sound, and no meeting-platform account or admin permission is involved.
No bot in the participant list
There is no attendee called “Xuula Notetaker”, because there is nothing to admit. The application captures what Windows plays and what your microphone hears, locally, which is why it works the same way in a call, a webinar, a recorded briefing or a conversation happening in the room.
Both sides of the call in one recording
Microphone and system audio are normalised into a single stream with echo suppression and saved as one audio file. One recognition session produces a chronological, speaker-aware transcript — not two half-transcripts you have to interleave afterwards.
Speakers separated, and named by you
Detected speakers are split apart automatically and labelled, and you can rename yourself, the meeting audio and each detected speaker for the session. The names are kept with the saved conversation. Separation is acoustic: it distinguishes voices, it does not verify identity.
The record stays on your computer
Stopping a meeting saves the recording, the final transcript, any translation, your private notes, speaker names and word timestamps into the Project you chose, on your PC. There is no cloud copy of a meeting to manage, share by accident or ask us to delete.
What it cannot do, said plainly
It cannot capture audio Windows will not expose — DRM-protected paths and some exclusive-mode audio setups. It is Windows-only. And recording other people may require their notice or consent where you or they are; that decision is yours, and the app makes no legal determination for you.
Meeting transcription questions
No. Xuula captures the audio your Windows PC plays and your microphone hears. Nothing appears in the participant list, nothing needs to be admitted, and no meeting-platform account or administrator permission is required.
Any application that plays sound through Windows — Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Discord, a browser tab, a phone on speaker. Xuula records the audio rather than connecting to a platform, so there is no integration to switch on.
On your PC, in the Project you chose before stopping the recording, together with the audio, translation, notes, speaker names and word timestamps. Transcripts are not uploaded to a Xuula account.
It separates and labels detected speakers, and you can rename each of them for the session. The separation is acoustic — it distinguishes one voice from another rather than confirming a person’s identity.
Possibly, depending on where you and the other participants are. Notice and consent requirements differ by country and state; that responsibility is yours, and Xuula makes no legal determination on your behalf.
