Dictation that edits, not just transcribes

Speech recognition solved the hard part years ago. What it did not solve is that spoken language, written down verbatim, reads badly. Xuula adds an editing pass so the text is something you can send.

What you actually said

so um i think we should uh we should probably move the deadline because like the api the api is not ready yet

What Xuula types

I think we should move the deadline, because the API is not ready yet.

  • Removed “um”, “uh”, “like”
  • Removed the repeated start
  • Added punctuation

Cleanup runs on the text of your dictation. You can turn it off in settings.

What the editing pass changes

It removes filler words and false starts, fixes agreement and word order where speech left them tangled, adds punctuation and capitalisation, and applies the writing style you selected. It does not add facts, and it does not translate.

What it cannot do

AI editing is not perfect. It can misread an unusual name, mistake a deliberate repetition for a stumble, or smooth a sentence you wanted left rough. Read what it produced before you send anything that matters — the same as you would with anything else you write quickly.

You can turn it off

If you want the raw transcript, disable cleanup in settings. Nothing is sent to the rewriting service when it is off.
